The River Conwy flows through a broad, sheltered valley on the western foothills of the Carneddau, carpeted with rich farmland, around one of the most magnificent medieval fortresses in Europe and into the Irish Sea. In contrast to the epic rocky mountains of Snowdonia, there is a majestic variety of sandy beaches, towering headlands and heather moors. Feel the spray on your face from Wales’ most beautiful waterfall, as it plummets one hundred and twenty feet into the plunge pools below, then on to a tasting at the nearby gin distillery, which uses the very water in its production. A bustling mountain resort known as the ‘Gateway to Snowdonia’, where the terrain changes and people flock to buy fresh locally roasted coffee, amazing sourdough pizza and hike, bike and scrambling equipment.

What you can expect

Ascend a thousand feet before thundering through dense woodland on an exhilarating alpine coaster and learn to surf that perfect wave at the foot of lush, green mountains, in the world's first inland wave garden, filled with pure Welsh rainwater.

Climb aboard Britain’s only cable-hauled street tramway soaring to stunning panoramas of Snowdonia before embarking on a fascinating journey across the magical countryside, immersing yourself in tales of poetry and pilgrimage.

Pull on your walking boots and simply lose yourself in amongst the glassy mountain lakes and leafy trails through carpets of bluebells and rushing waterfalls, whilst learning about the area's rich mining heritage.
