Lace up your hiking boots and revel in the splendid isolation of the most idyllic spots in North Wales to explore by foot. Exploring the miles of tracks and trails that meander through forests, lakes, villages and coastline. There is no rush to get from A to B. Lets stop by the waterfalls, sit on a rock and be present. Chat to passing locals and learn the remarkable history that these places hold. Furry companions will doubtless want to come along for the ride.

What you can expect

Take a short hike around a glacial amphitheatre, towered over by several 3000ft mountains. A botanist's paradise and a favourite haunt of Charles Darwin, stare in disbelief as you stand at the foot of stunning rock formations and learn about its rare and fragile plant life.

Walk through beautiful forests inhabited by red squirrels and emerge at a sweeping sandy beach with dramatic views over the distant Snowdonia mountains across the water. Explore the remains of a church, named for the Welsh patron saint of lovers and wind your way to the island’s tip to 19th-century lighthouses and one of the most photogenic spots in the whole of Wales.

Meander through a beautiful walled town, surrounded by a UNESCO World Heritage Castle and browse shops in the picturesque narrow streets before heading up onto the foothills of the Carneddau mountains, where grazing wild ponies and sheep pepper the landscape.
